Dipika Jhariya is a former student of the Brahmrishi Yoga Jabalpur school in India, a zero-fee school that provides quality education to the children of the local village. The school now has over 500 students. We are collecting donations to send Dipika to her second year of university, as she is majoring in Engineering. Last year, our oval fundraiser raised enough funds to send her to her first full year of school. After completing a 4-year degree, Dipika hopes to get accepted into the IAS (Indian Administrative Service for the government), a very demanding training program. With this career, she wants to serve children, especially girls from disadvantaged households. Dipika’s father has been bed-ridden for the past 6 years. Because of this, her mother has been the only source of income for the Jhariya family, but does not bring in a very sustainable wage. Dipika is the youngest of two sisters, and they both contribute to the family income by sewing clothes. Dipika was selected for this scholarship due to her academic excellence, being one of the top students in her class at the Jabalpur school. She continues to thrive in university. Help us continue her success by sending her to her second year of school! Our fundraiser will be Friday, April 5th from 12-3 p.m. on the oval. We will be selling baked goods and collecting donations! If you are not able to attend and still want to donate, venmo @AwowFinance with "Dipika Jhariya Tuition" as the description. Thank you for helping us empower girls through girls' education!
The fundraiser was a great success! You helped raise MORE than enough to fund Dipika's second year tuition. We want to thank everyone who came out to help support her and girls' education :)
